All useful information about the travel by road, by train, by plane, by boat is on the website

If you arrive by plane there are 4 options to come to Evian-les-Bains from Geneva airport:

At the airport: Go through the Swiss custom

Once you get your bag and leave security at Geneva airport, head to the trains. Take any train because they all go to Geneva, and they are free. So just get on the next one available (you can look at the departure board and see what line to go to).

Option 1: Bus (the cheapest)

Once you get off at Geneva center (Gare Cornavin), go out the main front doors and walk to the left to the next street and take a right. The street should be heading to the lake. Stay on this street and you will run into another bus station (will be on right, and you may not see it until you get to it - big parking lot with buses). Go into the station (just a single building at far end of the parking lot) and purchase a ticket for Bus (Ligne) 71 to Evian. You can find bus timetable with legends being traduced in English on page 2:  Tickets 1-way are 12.60€, you can also buy them on the bus if time is tight.

Bus ride is about 1 hour 45 minutes, and get off at Evian.

Option 2: Train via Annemasse

Once you get off at Geneva center (Gare Cornavin), buy a bus ticket to Annemasse Gare (bus 61). The pick-up point for Bus 61 is to the right and across the streetcar tracks as you exit main entrance of Gare Cornavin (look for signs pointing you in the right direction). At Annemasse Gare, buy a train ticket to Evian and get on the correct train.

Option 3: Train+Boat via Lausanne-Ouchy (the most beautiful)

There are frequent and direct trains from Geneva airport to Lausanne.

You can check on the following website :

or use the SBB / CFF app on your phone

Once you get off at Lausanne main train station, walk down to the lake (10mn) or take the metro M2 direction Ouchy-Olympique.

You will take the boat at Ouchy.

You can find boat timetable here:

Tickets 1-way are 20€ (21 CHF), you can use Euro and buy your ticket in the boat.

Boat ride is about 35 minutes.

Option 4 (Taxi): about 100€
