When creating your account, you will be asked to provide a "User name". "User name" means the name by which you will be able to connect (with a password) to your personal account of the congress web site. "User name" is  for instance your surname or whatever name you choose.

Abstract submission (online only) * Please read carefully before submitting *

Conference language: abstracts must be submitted and presented at the conference in English.
Abbreviations: must be placed (between brackets) after the first appearance of the word to be shortened.
Word count: please note that the online abstract submission procedure will not accept abstracts that exceed 4000 characters (title and body of the abstract, including spaces).

  • Abstract type: authors should indicate their presentation preference (oral or poster).
  • Session type: choose the topic category that fits with the main subject of your work. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to re-categorise the abstract.
  • Authors and co-authors: surnames and given names must be written as "Dupond AB" (upper case only for the first letter of surname, upper case and initials for given names, without dots).
  • Affiliations must be summarized and written as "Institutional names, Town, Country".
  • Author speaker: the first author as indicated on the online form.

ABSTRACT should be structured in such a way as to include:

  • Title should be brief and reflect the content of the abstract. The length of the title is get at a maximum of 200 characters.
  • Background/Objectives: 1100 characters including spaces
  • Material/Methods: 700 characters including spaces
  • Results: 1300 characters including spaces
  • Conclusion: 700 characters including spaces
  • References: 3 relevant references maximum. List the first two author name(s) (surname and initials of first and middle names) followed by "et al.", the year of publication, the journal, the volume(issue) and pages. If available, add the doi.
  • Tables and images: authors may upload a single file in JPG format, composed of data tables and/or pictures/graphs. The legend must be included in the jpg file, and will not be counted in the abstract word count. Please keep in mind that the text has to be readable in the published format, and the file size has to be exactly 13.5 cm width x 10 cm height. We recommend 10-point Calibri font. The maximum file size is 10 Mb.
  • The abstract (including title, authors, their affiliation, table/image box and references) must fit a 13.5 cm (width) x 19.0 cm (height) box, on 2 pages maximum, and should not exceed 4000 characters including spaces.

  • Poster content should be well organized for clear presentation
  • Presenting Authors of the posters are kindly requested to stay close to their poster during poster sessions

Abstract selection process

Abstracts submitted for presentation will be reviewed by the scientific committee which reserves the right to reject an abstract written in poor English, or that does not comply with online instructions. Abstract review criteria are based on clarity, scientific rigour, potential significance, interest in the topic chosen and innovation or usefulness. The final decision on the presentation format (poster or oral) will be made by the Scientific Committee and you will be informed upon acceptance.
