EDITORIAL

Welcome to the 13th International Symposium on Ecohydraulics (ISE 2020), which will be held on

May 23-29, 2020 in Lyon, France.

The symposium is jointly convened by the International Association for Hydro-Environment engineering and Research (IAHR).

Ecohydraulics focuses on linkages between hydrodynamics, geomorphology, hydrology and ecological processes in freshwater, marine and lentic ecosystems. A highly interidisciplinary field, it brings together a community working on topics such as aquatic biota movements and bioenergetics, dynamics of sediment and nutrient transport, effects of flow regime regulation and physical restoration on aquatic habitats and many others (see the Ecohydraulics website for more general informations on the community).

A major objective of ISE 2020 is to combine outstanding science and management of aquatic ecosystems. Note that for ISE2020 three special sessions will be designed to become special issues of the recently launched "Journal of Ecohydraulics".

WARNING: EACH REGISTRANT IS ENTITLED TO PRESENT ONE ABSTRACT AT THE CONFERENCE, WHICH MAY BE EITHER A POSTER OR AN ORAL PRESENTATION

The symposium will be held at a very convenient location in the city of Lyon (France). Many traditional sightseeing spots of Lyon are easily accessible by frequent Lyon Public Transport (TCL) network from the symposium venue.

We are confident that you will enjoy the symposium and the cultural exchanges on this occasion.

We look forward to seeing you in Lyon.
